Behavioral Dysregulation: Impact on Alcohol Cue-Reactivity and Demand for Alcohol
Funding: NIH
Behavioral dysregulation is a widely cited predictor of risk for alcohol use disorders, although the mechanisms underlying this relationship have not been well elucidated. The study examined one such mechanism, proposing an innovative new model of risk of AUDs that has the potential to integrate two disparate literatures, most notably, studies demonstrating that: 1) behavioral dysregulation is predictive of AUDs, and, 2) that alcohol cue-reactivity may figure prominently in increased demand for alcohol and the development of problem drinking.

Attitudinal Factors in Alcohol Craving
Funding: NIH
The purpose of this research study was to investigate how implicit attitudes impact desire for alcohol and decisions to drink. Moreover, we were interested in manipulating drinkers attitudes.
